Koret Magazine ad 1946

It is vary rare to find an exact purse that was featured in a vintage purse ad and this UNIQUE 1946 evening purse got center stage in this magazine ad. This Koret purse is fashioned with fine ribbed deep midnight blue grosgrain in a pouchette shape. The handles slid up and down within holes in the scalloped shape lid. A beautiful round embellishment adorns the lid. The interior is something to behold. Pristine bright pink satin with a marching con purse attached to the lining by an elastic cord. AMAZING VINTAGE!

Enchanting black cashmere wool handbag from the 40's. A graceful curved brushed brass frame accented with a shell cameo on each end. The toggle latch is also adorned with a larger cameo. A heavy etched brass chain wrislet length handle compliments the frame. The cashmere wool has a little nap wear along the frame if you look closely. The interior is lined with black satin two open pockets. There is a matching black satin coin purse and a mirror resting in the pockets. This stunning handbag is a "Rosenfeld".

A wonderful example of the "Novelty Handbags" of the late 60's and 70's. Clear vinyl with gold metallic threads woven in. Created for Neiman Marcus stores is this charming tiny beaded "Butterfly" purse. This type of beaded purse is featured on page 93 of Popular Purses. "It's in the Bag" 2001. Vintage purses since the publishing of this book has gained tremendously in value. Each year vintage handbags grow in value and collectablity. The interior of this purse is lined in black satin with a tiny open sidewall pocket. Each side has the same Butterfly. The shoulder length cord strap is removable so the Butterfly can be carried as a clutch. The interior is lined with black satin with an attached tiny pullout oval mirror. TO SWEET!
