Please remember when buying vintage purses there are normally minor imperfections unless these are very noticable or detract from the style or attractiveness of the item they are not normally mentioned.
LOOKING FOR PERFECTION - VINTAGE IS NOT FOR YOU!
(Mint Condition) MINT - As close to "new" as possible for its age. No problems.
(Excellent Condition) Normal wear expected for age. Any problems are not easily visible.
(Gently Used) Normal wear expected for age. Shows very minimal wear
(Used) A purse that was used everyday. Not abused.... but used, shows more noticeable wear.

This is the most phenomenal glamorous rhinestone evening purses I have seen. Tucked away and never used for 36 years. The sales receipt is still tucked inside the purse. This gem was sold at Hess, downtown PA. and the original price was $79.00. The buyer bought this WALBORG rhinestone bag for $29.99. Even the sale price in 1973 was very pricey. You could feed a family of 4 for two weeks back then for $30.00. Perfect bright clear rhinestones all prong set. The silver metal frame is set with large diamond shaped rhinestones. The backside is raised that gives the look of a tiara. The interior is lined with cream-colored satin. The silver snake chain can be clipped off for use as a clutch. This truly one of the loveliest box purses I have seen. Designed by "Calem" Lush black wool on a hexagon shape with a labor intensive French tapestry covering the lid. The black wool wristlet length handle has a bow top. The interior is gorgeous, covered with quilted black satin. The is an elastic trimmed pouch pocket holding a matching coin purse The coin purse is attached to the lining with a black cord. The mirror on the inside lid is bright and perfect. UNIQUE 50's midnight blue cashmere wool handbag by "Bobbie Jerome". The handbag has a cut-out design to highlight the toggle latch that had two marbled butterscotch Lucite knobs. The handle is wristlet length. The interior is lined with dark blue satin with an open pocket and a comb pocket. The is a matching satin coin purse attached to the lining by a small thin gold cord. These black velvet evening purses were the rage in the 1950's, designed and produced in India. The designs were created with gold and silver metal thread. A fast majority featured elaborate peacocks with colorful silk thread and beads. This purse has two beautiful Birds of Paradise created with gold and silver metallic threads with bright colored silk. The branches are a combination of gold and silver metallic thread. The interior is lined with black satin with an open sidewall pocket. Reluctantly I am taking this lovely late 90's handbag out of my private collection. The London-based designer Nathalie Hambro is well-known handbag and jewelry designer. She is also an author of and her book "The Art of The Handbag" 1999 is a pictorial book showcasing her purse designs. This Nathalie Hambro "Egg Bag" is featured on page 24. She states, "Egg Bag, An ostrich egg was the inspiration of this bag, as much for is proportion as for its pleasing elliptical shape". The handbag is made of unusual luminous thick blue fabric with an arching black steel handle. A long black glass bead tassel adorns the front. Her handbags were all handcrafted and made in outrageously small limited editions. The original Hambro tag and price tag are still tucked inside. The price was $400.00. This handbag is VERY RARE!
