(Mint Condition) MINT - As close to "new" as possible for its age. No problems.
(Excellent Condition) Normal wear expected for age. Any problems are not easily visible.
(Gently Used) Normal wear expected for age. Shows very minimal wear
(Used) A purse that was used everyday. Not abused.... but used, shows more noticeable wear.

A VERY RARE 40's" Fernande Desgranges" a famous French designer that was as famous as Louis Vuitton in the 40's and 50's. Fernande Desgranges was a talented and innovative designer who was active in the late 1940s to 1967. His creations range from evening coats, dresses, bracelets and bags of very high quality, which he retailed from his shops in Geneve, Paris and Nice. Museums are beginning to acquire some of his designs. A leather and metal bracelet from the 1940s is amongst the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. As the 40's magazine ad shows he used his couture imagination to create the most unusual handbags and this oh so rare handbag is a true treasure from the middle 40's. The black leather box shaped handbag has a secret compartment in the front that houses four little red leather purses. Each purse has a brass plate on the front marked, Flamme, Fortune, Fumes and Finance. The main compartment is lined in black leather with a zippered sidewall compartment. A very rare designed "SLIP-COVER" leather shoulder handbag from the 80's. The black leather sleeve is textured to look like lizard skin with a unique pewter serpent adornment with an amber stone eye. The European length leather strap is tightly braided with Bolo tie ends. A black leather purse slides out and has two separate storage areas. An outstanding impressive leather pinwheel shoulder purse from the 80's by "BRIO". Brio created these special pinwheel purses in many colors and this is the first one I have listed that is textured to look line different lizard skins in a multitude of colors. Total quality both inside and outside of this demure shaped crocodile skin from the 40's by "Josef of France. Outstanding quality with only the best and most expensive crocodile premium skins with a solid brass frame that emphases’ the lovely skins. The handle gracefully arches over the handbag. The unique brass latch turns to open the purse. The interior is lined in sienna-colored genuine leather with a built in chain purse, a zippered sidewall pocket and three open sidewall pockets, one with a snap. Another great handbag company that could not survive past the 60's. "Triangle, New York created quality unique handbags from 1942 until the early to mid 60's. This unique midnight blue genuine leather handbag is on of Triangle's creations from the 50's. The curvilinear flap is adorned with a large gold metal plate featuring an adorable cherub. Under the flap is a toggle latch when opened exposes an interior lined with dark blue grosgrain. There is a sidewall pocket trimmed with gold-colored piping. The strap is shoulder length.
