(Mint Condition) MINT - As close to "new" as possible for its age. No problems.
(Excellent Condition) Normal wear expected for age. Any problems are not easily visible.
(Gently Used) Normal wear expected for age. Shows very minimal wear
(Used) A purse that was used everyday. Not abused.... but used, shows more noticeable wear.

King Tutankhamen's exhibit toured the USA in the 70's and this gave designers' inspirations to use Tut's themes in their creations. This is a beautiful RARE vintage black silk very petite palm size held purse with carved Egyptian turquoise-colored ceramic scarabs and turquoise cabochons in an etched and beaded gold plated settings. The frame is truly magnificent. The clasp is on a hinge which moves freely and flips up to open the purse and is also set with a large turquoise-colored cabochon. This was a true RARE treasure to find. Still tucked away in the original box and suede storage sleeve. This design "Belle Ayre" is featured in the book "Collector's Encyclopedia of Compacts by Laura M. Mueller" on page 190. Vintage 50's/60's ladies' purse-sized cigarette lighter in the shape of a lipstick tube. The top of the tube is adorned with bright aurora borealis rhinestones.
