The detail on this multi layer vintage velvet butterfly purse is amazing. The blue and tan velvet wings are trimmed with glass beads and pink sequins. The tan velvet body is trimmed with tiny glass beads. The butterfly's antennas have glass seed bead ends. Two arching acrylic handles top the purse. The interior is lined with rich blue satin. SO WHIMSICAL and CHARMING!

Nicole Miller was commissioned by the Mattel toy company to design a Barbie doll in the 90's. December 2009 Miller's Barbie has been featured in an ongoing exhibit, Barbie: The Fashion Experience, at the The Children's Museum of Indianapolis. this is a limited addition "Nicole Miller" Barbie backpack style handbag from the early '90's.

Along with this charming handbag is the Bloomingdales 1994 limited addition "Savvy Barbie Shopper". Barbie sill rest in her original box. The handbag is very roomy and has an adjustable black cord that be worn on your shoulder or back. The interior is lined with faux black leather with a zippered sidewall pocket. There is also a long vertical zipper section on the outside. SUCH PLAYFUL INGAGEING COLLECTABLE HANDBAG and BARBIE DOLL!

A 70's handbag that is SO UNIQUE! This red, white and blue wet look shoulder purse is two purses in one. The navy blue purse is longer and folds over the white purse. Adorning the front of the white purse is a clear acrylic circle that spins and has all the zodiac signs. The interior ate the underside of the faux wet look leather. A beautiful time traveler from the 40's. Lush black wool covers this box purse with a large faux tortoise frame. The body is slightly angled which highlights the folded wool corners. I adore these black velvet evening bags made in India in the late 60's and early 70's. You could purchase these bags at stores such as International Imports. The fronts were adorned with colorful silk and metal thread embroidery, all created by hand and most featured an elaborate peacock or floral embellishments. These bags are featured in the book "Popular Purses, It's in the Bag" on page 100. This purse has a tuck away should strap The interior is lined with black sheen fabric with a long open slash pocket. Extraordinary hand made glass bead purse from "Belgium". These Belgium bead purses were carried in such fine stores as Saks 5th Avenue and Neiman Marcus in the 50's and 60's.
