I am not really sure of the origin of this RARE vintage labor intensive purse but what a WORK of ART. This shoulder purse is made of wood and shaped like a BUTTERFLY. The front and sides are inlayed with thin strips of bamboo dyed in various colors. The back of the purse is covered with paper hand painted in brown swirls. When opened the front and back are held together by two delicate metal chains. The interior is lined with sienna-colored satin. TOTALLY WONDEROUS!

LONG & LEAN black faux leather MOD-ART purse from the 70's. A long thick brass zipper along the side opens and closes the purse. A striking faux tortoise shell handle in a rectangle shape compliments the shape of the purse. The interior is lined with black spill proof vinyl. PURE ARM CANDY!

Tartan plaid was the rage in the 50's and this "SCHOOL DAYS" wool Tartan wristlet purse has traveled through time to give us a "Glimpse of the Past" of the carefree days of the 1950's. The front flap opens to expose several black wool storage pockets. There is a 1954 school calendar, little gold metal pencil, comb and mounted pristine mirror. There is also a little slot for tiny school extras. The zippered top section is lined with black taffeta with a matching coin purse attached to the lining by a thin black cord. VERY SPECIAL & RARE!

This vintage gem from the 50's is a collector's dream come true. Tucked away and never used. The light colored grasscloth envelope shaped purse is incased in a frame of tortoise colored Lucite. The Lucite frame forms into a high sculptural handle. Tan suede bows accent the sides of the arch. The interior is lined with dark brown taffeta with a small open sidewall pocket. The original stuffing paper still remains inside. STUNNING RETRO!

This is a UNIQUE tall Kelly style handbag from the 60's. Covered with tan burlap trimmed with faux light tan faux leather. Embellishing the front is a working watch hanging in a framed cutout area. "FX Creations the Fashion Vitamins" only created these fantastic novelty purses for a short time in the middle 90's and is no longer in business. Their purses are now sought after as collection pieces and great purses to carry. These purses were well made and not like the novelty created in mass production today. The theme of this charmer is a glamour "Marilyn Monroe" "Air Mail" letter with a 3-dimensional Monroe faux postage stamp. There is even a kiss to send the letter on it's way. The backside is stitched with black thread to complete the envelope look. The silver chain is shoulder length. The interior is lined with black nylon with an open sidewall pocket. SO UNIQUE!

1964 Movie The Carpetbaggers

The 1964 film adaptation of Harold Robbins “The Carpetbaggers” motivated Jerry Terrence to use the rugs sold at his family business, Target Carpets to fashion his outrageously popular line of "Jerry Terrence Carpet Bags". The bags were discontinued three years later. The interior is the underside of the fiber carpet. This makes this unique vintage 60's Terrance JET BLACK even more valuable.

An absolute RARE gem from the 40's. For those ladies that could not afford genuine Corde' handbags a vinyl one was created and this is one of these rare handbags. Royal blue in color with a long frosted Lucite toggle latch. The vinyl strap is wristlet length. The interior is lined with navy blue taffeta with a small open pocket and a small zippered pocket. These handbags were most likely sold at department stores like Sears. ASTONISHING!

A lovely lady wearing a veiled black hat with a white faux fur color and black and white polka dot bow. Her earrings and ting beads. The shoulder straps are shoulder length.
