(Used) A purse that was used everyday. Not abused.... but used, shows more noticeable wear.

A very UNIQUE black patent oval shaped tote from the 60's by "LEWIS". A snap flap narrow storage slot is on each side of the large open storage area. Wide arching handles compliment the structure of the tote which adds to the flare. The interiors are lined in black satin with an open sidewall pocket trimmed with gold piping and a small comb pocket. FASINATING RETRO! Gucci created this look in the 70’s, which were compact boxy shaped handbags with a bamboo handle and bamboo toggle latch. Many designers followed suit and this is a striking petite A-Line shape rendition from the 80's. The bamboo adornment on the flap is an adornment. A magnetic snap open and closes the purse. "LEWIS" designs never cease to amaze me and this 60's black patent purse is no exception. Along the top of the purse the cutout design highlights the long spiral solid brass latch. The frame is covered with black genuine leather. The interior is lined with rich black satin with two open pockets trimmed with gold piping. There is a zippered sidewall pocket and a comb pocket. If you are looking for perfection this bright orange 70's patent by "Morris Moskowitz" is not for you. Unique yes, but has a few flaws. A couple hard to see darker blemishes on the patent . The acrylic handles are interlocking. Open the purse wide and you can see tiny splits along the inside side flaps not seen unless the handbag to open. The lining is orange grosgrain with an open slash pocket, a zipper pocket and a sidewall cosmetic purse. A lovely marching scarf has been tucked inside for many years. DRAMATIC!
