(Mint Condition) MINT - As close to "new" as possible for its age. No problems.
(Excellent Condition) Normal wear expected for age. Any problems are not easily visible.
(Gently Used) Normal wear expected for age. Shows very minimal wear
(Used) A purse that was used everyday. Not abused.... but used, shows more noticeable wear.
(Rest assured I do not sell handbags that are not attractive or fit to carry.)
Most vintage patent have very light scratches visible only if held at a certain angle under strong light.

This Canadian designer "JOHN HORT" was very popular in the 60's and 70's and created some phenomenal handbags. This black patent and Lucite roomy handbag is one of his wonderful creations. Large oval shape trimmed with pearl gray Lucite. The latch is a Deco inspired fan in Lucite and silver metal that matches the silver metal frame. The strap is wristlet length. Vintage 40's Shur-Tite purses are very rare and hard to come by. This lovely soft structures box purse is a gem. Thick high gloss black patent with a honey-colored Lucite frame. A small half circle imperfection on the back corner of the frame but does not show through to the other side in the interior. The interior back grosgrain interior looks like it was never used and has some fading do to age. The handles are strong with no wear to underside back grosgrain.
