Terminology regarding the condition of the Vintage Handbags:

Please remember when buying vintage purses there are normally minor imperfections 
 unless these are very noticable or detract from the style or attractiveness of the item they are not normally mentioned.

LOOKING FOR PERFECTION - VINTAGE IS NOT FOR YOU!

(Mint Condition) MINT - As close to "new" as possible for its age. No problems.
(Excellent Condition) Normal wear expected for age. Any problems are not easily visible.
(Gently Used) Normal wear expected for age. Shows very minimal wear
(Used) A purse that was used everyday. Not abused.... but used, shows more noticeable wear.

Rosenfeld 1940's magazine ad

All the way from the 40's is this rich chocolate brown thick crushed velvet "DOUBLE" purse. Trimmed with dark brown leather piping and was designed by "Harry Rosenfeld". Two purses staggered in size are held together with an adjustable chiseled gold metal chain. The chain can span up to European shoulder length. On the front purse is a gold metal pendant with five cherubs holding a branch of fruit. Hanging from the pendant is ten tiny mesh gold chains. One interior is limed with black grosgrain and has a small side pocket the other purse is lined with gold grosgrain. A "Harry Rosenfeld" Mirror still rests in the open pocket. A RARE COLLECTABLE UNIQUE HANBAG!

Large brushed silver metal mesh covers this vintage box shaped 70's purse by "Whiting & Davis" A clear Lucite handle sits proudly on top. The interior is lined with gray taffeta which shows aging on the flap. There is a tiny open sidewall pocket. The label states, "Whiting & Davis Trade Mark, Made in USA". The exterior mesh is in pristine condition. VERY UNIQUE!

A beautiful vintage black glass bead purse with beaded flowers in many colorful shades. This striking evening purse can be carried with many colored evening dresses. The wide gold metal frame is etched. There is a tuck-away wristlet length cobra chain. The interior is lined with black fabric with an open sidewall pocket. LOVELY!

This is an appealing vintage purse from the 50's and can be used as a clutch or wristlet purse. Covered with perfect light tan beads that will blend with many colors. The gold lettering on the lining is barely visible but states this purse is a Lumured design under the brand name of "Corde-Bead". The lining is beige taffeta that is unused. These purses are featured in "Popular Purses, It's in the Bag” on page 7 and 154.

"Made in Italy" is this lovely vintage tapestry purse with two adorable Cherubs in beautiful delicate pastel colors. The tapestry has so much detail. The frame is wrapped with matching cord and the handle is gold molded acrylic. The front and back are mirror images. The handbag rest on four little brass pegs to protect the fabric. The interior is lined with a beige ribbed fabric with a small open pocket. CHARMING!

This is an extraordinary RARE black bead handbag designed for "Saks 5th Avenue". The black bugle beads create a perfect backdrop for the adorable gold bugle bead "Teddy Bear". A gold bead trim compliments the bear. A large black tassel adorns one side. The interior is lined with black satin with a large open pocket. There is a tuck-away black cord shoulder length strap. TO CUTE and great for day or evening wear.

This striking 70's sequin handbag by Stylecraft is a real eye-catcher. Using gold and copper-colored sequins on the flap gives the impression of melting gold. The flap and purse are edged with tiny black seed-beads. The shoulder length chain can be tucked inside for use as a clutch. The interior is lined with black satin with an open sidewall pocket. Tucked away and never used. SPLENDID!

A very UNIQUE super long handbag from the 80's. Platinum metallic body covered with bronze-colored lace. The sides of the handbag are clear see-through vinyl. The frame and chain handle are antique brass metal. The interior is lined with platinum faux leather. You will never see another like this purse. AWESOME!

SO UNIQUE! This lovely handbag from the 30's is not only a handbag but a hand warmer as well. You can slide your hands in the openings on the side and keep your hands warn and cozy with the goose down layers within! The handbag has two looks as well by simply unhooking the point with gives the bag a triangle look. The front of the handbag is ruched satin the back smooth satin. The smooth satin shows slight aging if you look closely. The toggle latch is adorned with two globes of tested Bakelite. The lining is black taffeta with a divided sidewall pocket. VERY RARE HIGHLY COLLECTABLE!

Chic elegant tiny black grosgrain Opera "Skirt Purse." Layered skirts decorate the front of the oval body.
